Colors of Gratitude: A Creative
Journey in Faith On Tuesdays from
2:00–4:00 p.m.,
A unique and enriching gathering is taking place—
Colors of Gratitude, a creative Bible study that
blends scripture, prayer, and artistic expression.
Beginning March 25, the group embarked on the
first of three books in this series, Colors of
Gratitude by Andrea Penner.
This meaningful opportunity was made possible in
part through Karen Bair, whose dedication and
connections not only helped launch the class with
enthusiasm, but also provided participants with
donated copies of the book at no cost. Her efforts
set the tone for what has already become a
welcoming and inspiring space.
Each week, participants are invited into a gentle
rhythm of reflection and creativity. The session
begins with a brief passage of scripture, followed by
time to thoughtfully reflect and pray. From there,
the group engages in meditative coloring—an
intentional, focused practice that centers on a word
or theme from the scripture, often illustrated within
beautifully designed floral patterns. This quiet,
creative process encourages participants to slow
down, listen, and encounter scripture in a fresh and
personal way.
The experience does not end with individual
reflection. As the session concludes, participants
gather to share their stories from the week, their
artwork, and the ways in which prayer has been
present in their lives. These moments of sharing
foster connection, encouragement, and a deeper
sense of community.
Colors of Gratitude is more than a class—it is a
journey of faith, creativity, and fellowship. Whether
you are an experienced artist or simply seeking a
new way to engage with scripture, all are welcome
to come and discover the beauty of gratitude
expressed through color, prayer, and shared
experience.
